La Marina
|
Approximately 25 minutes
drive from Algorfa and has a lovely natural beach (one of our
favourites) surrounded by pine trees. During the summer
months many Spanish families congregate in the shade of the
trees to enjoy their picnics away from the heat of the sun and
while away the afternoon. On the beach there is a
restaurant which is popular with Spanish and foreign visitors.
There is also a seasonal beach bar which keeps a party
atmosphere going. On Christmas Day people flock to the
beach to enjoy their picnic lunches and champagne with friends
and family until the sun goes down. |
 |
 |
On the way to
the beach is La Marina village which has a few restaurants and cafes.
Along the road is the La Marina
International campsite (5 star) where anyone can use the restaurant.
Their speciality is paella (approx 36 varieties) and if you like paella
you will need to book a table and order you choice for lunch the
following day. Well worth a visit
even if you only pop in for a coffee or drink on the roof terrace
overlooking a wonderful water area. The pool
facilities are open to day visitors for a fee. |
|
Further up
from the village is the La Marina Urbanisation where there are masses of
restaurants and bars; supermarkets, banks, pharmacy and many other
shops.
There are also Go Karts just down the coast road toward
Guardamar. There are different categories of Karts
which race at different times.
